Open to all BSU majors; 2.75 minimum GPA; 24 credits completed.

The Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) Summer program is offered through the university's International College of Chinese Studies (ICCS), which provides Chinese language programs to all international students in SHNU. With first-class teaching faculty, ICCS attracts nearly 2,000 international students from more than 40 countries all over the world every year.

Students in the SHNU Summer program typically enroll in a 4-week or 3-week program. Oral Chinese is usually offered at all levels every summer, along with Chinese Cultures courses such as Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, Tai Ji Quan, etc.

Students work with BSU’s Study Abroad Office and the SHNU International Office to determine course availability. Students earn BSU transfer credit for their courses at SHNU. Students are required to complete BSU transfer credit forms prior to departure.

Students reside in SHNU international student housing.
