Program Description

The National Student Exchange is a study away opportunity that allows you to take new courses, see new places, make new friends, and enroll in academic options that may not be available on your own campus. You can study for a single term or academic year at one of nearly 200 NSE member colleges and universities.

Open to all BSU majors; 2.75 minimum GPA; 24 credits completed.

BSU students enroll as visiting exchange students at the host university for one semester or an academic year. Students take a minimum of 12 credits per semester to maintain full-time status and course offerings vary depending on department availability. Students work with BSU’s Study Abroad Office and the host university to determine course availability.

BSU transfer credit is awarded for courses taken on NSE exchanges provided the required BSU transfer credit forms are completed prior to departure.

Students commit to be a residential student at the host university; living on-campus with a meal plan. Specific details vary at different universities.
